Have time, services, or stuff but not cash? You can still support community projects by becoming a Project Hero.
Simply click the ‘offer giftbacks’ button on a project and fill out the form to donate your time, services, that great painting you have over your fireplace, or even your collection of Star Wars figurines. As long as it is of value to someone else you can offer it as a giftback. You are only limited by your creativity.
Organizations can also donate some of their products and services.
The great thing is that you can set limits to how much you donate. Akinz, continues to support other projects by donating 10 shirts here, a few gift cards there etc. Mugs and Chipper’s Lanes are more great examples of repeat offenders of offering giftbacks. Not only are they supporting projects in their community and getting warm fuzzies for helping other people reach their goal, but they are also getting their name and product out there as well. We like to call this a Win-Win.
Once you have submitted your offered giftback, the project creator will be notified and asked to approve the offering. They will then click a button and your giftback will be live. At this moment, you will be listed at the top of their project page as a “Project Hero”.
